We had the distinct pleasure of discovering another beautiful vintage from Argentina and we are pleased to introduce to you, Trapiche Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon 2014!
The history of this wonderful winery began in 1883 in a petite vineyard known as El Trapiche located in the Godoy Cruze, Mendoza district where the grapes for the first wines of the region were grown.
Today the Trapiche Winery is located in Maipú, Mendoza at the foot of the Andes mountains and housed in a Florentine style building heralded as an icon of Mendoza’s wine architecture. It’s here that Trapiche winery blends cutting edge technology and age old wine making techniques to create premium wines for the world stage.
South American wineries have firmly taken their position amongst the world’s best producers like France, Italy and Spain and the Trapiche Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon 2014 is no exception!
This vintage is dark red in color conveying aromas of cherries, plums and subtle hits of licorice. It graces the palate with deep range and light tones of oak, cassis, blackberries and chocolate. It pairs beautifully with La Marechal, Pecorino with Truffles and Triple Cream French Brie as well as roast beef, spicy roast chicken and duck.
Trapiche’s Malbec, Syrah and Merlot are equally benevolent and well worth the price of admission.
Enjoy in good health!
